Pastured Pork is available in 20 lb boxes of assorted cuts.
Our Tamworth Pigs are raised on our certified organic fields in rotation with crops. We count on them to root up some obnoxious weeds (nut grass), till the soil some with their rooting and to help fertilize with their poops. The meat is delicious. This unimproved breed has not been overselected for leanness or fast growth. The result is a more flavorful meat. Any cured meats are cured without nitrates and nitrates.
As with our chickens the feed ration, besides what they glean from the fields includes Corn, Roasted Soybeans and a vitamin Mineral mix from the Fertrell Feed and Fertilizer company.
As with our beef we try to package the pork in 18-20 lb boxes of assorted cuts. The price is $130 per box It worked out to the following packages. We welcome feedback on the pork and the cuts we have available. We will try other sausage recipes and some cured hams.
